Had the pleasure of working with Emerald Rage for their Valkyrie album.

I love working on album covers and had a great time working with the band to come up with this cover. It's especially fun to paint Metal album covers with their dark fantasy themes.

This was partly inspired by a bright light in the sky I saw walking home in the dark one night, It was the same time I was working ideas for this cover and it was just a slightly surreal moment, I Started imagining how it would feel to be laying on the battlefield as you saw the glowing light of the valkyries overhead. I tried to capture that feeling here of that frozen moment in time where the warrior is about to be chosen by the valkyrie and the valkyrie float and ride above the battlefield.
